What is a Wi-Fi health check?
A Wi-Fi HealthCheck is a one-off visit where we find out why your Wi-Fi is not working properly. We come to your property, run tests, and give you a clear, plain-English report with options to improve things. It costs £60 with a full money-back guarantee.
Why would I need one?
If you are seeing slow speeds, buffering, drop-outs or rooms with no signal, a Health Check will identify the root cause. Wi-Fi problems are often due to house construction, router position, too many devices, or clashing signals from neighbours – not just the broadband line itself.
What happens during the visit?
In most homes the visit takes about an hour. We will:
- Talk through your setup, broadband service and devices.
- Run wired and wireless speed tests.
- Carry out radio surveys in the busiest areas for Wi-Fi use.
- Check your current Wi-Fi security settings.
We work with your existing broadband provider – we do not sell contracts.
What will I get in my health check report?
Within 5 days you will receive a report that includes:
- A summary of your current Wi-Fi performance.
- Results from the radio survey and speed tests.
- A simple view of any security issues.
- Clear recommendations and options for you to take to get the Wi-Fi you deserve, including likely costs.
What kind of problems do you usually find?
Most issues come down to one or more of:
- Wi-Fi signal too weak in key rooms.
- Router in the wrong place or using old settings.
- Too many devices competing for the same Wi-Fi.
- Interference from other Wi-Fi networks or equipment.
- Broadband speed that is too slow for how you use it.
Your report will show which of these apply in your property, and the best way forward.
What happens after I get my report?
We recommend scheduling a phone call or a video call with us to walk you through the findings and answer any questions you may have.
You are free to make the changes that we reccomend yourself in your own time.
Alternatively, we can carry out some or all of the work for you on an optional hourly rate, to get your Wi-Fi working perfectly.
How does the money back guarantee work?
Your £60 payment secures the appointment and covers the visit, tests, report and follow-up call. If you are not fully satisfied, simply tell us during the follow-up call and we will refund the £60 – no quibble.
